There is still a chance to take part in "An Evening at Hogwarts", supporting local cancer care at Sault Area Hospital.
Wizards, witches and muggles of all ages can enjoy the magic of Hogwarts in a midday event - but hurry, tickets are 75% sold out! Grab your broomstick to join the Wee Wizard Tour (presented by PUC Services) on November 4th at the Machine Shop from 11am-1pm. Shop at Hogwarts-themed vendors, board the Hogwarts Express, participate in classes and experience the Triwizard Tournament. Tickets are $25 each and are available here.
“It takes an organizing committee of a dozen people, and well over 60 additional volunteers on the
day of, to make this event all that it is,” shared Megan Becker, volunteer committee member.
”Together, we make Hogwarts come to life with passion, fun, and maybe even a little ‘magic’.
Ultimately we raise tens of thousands of dollars to support local cancer care, all thanks to our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and participants. Every year, we are inspired by this support.”
The now-sold-out An Evening at Hogwarts: The Goblet of Fire event on the evening of November 4th is sure to be an enchanting experience. Participants will receive their very own wand from Ollivanders (presented by Interfor), and then travel through Platform 9 ¾. They are enrolled in wizarding classes, and will attend USW 2724’s Quidditch World Cup, complete with vendor shops. Attendees can compete in the Triwizard Tournament and then enjoy a delicious four-course meal, sponsored by the Machine Shop, at the festive Yule Ball.
Missed your chance to get tickets? You can still honour loved ones affected by cancer by purchasing a Patronus Luminous - available here. All of the proceeds from An Evening at Hogwarts will go to Sault Area Hospital Foundation to support local cancer care.
